Experiencing this life, we each walk down our own particular road with all its individual bumps and heaves along with its glories. It is "lonesome" because it is ours alone, but it need not necessarily be lonely. We will draw from an old James Taylor song, “That Lonesome Road,” and pull embedded wisdom from its lyrics. "Carry on, carry on, never mind feeling sorry for yourself, it doesn't save you from your troubled mind..."
About Rev. Ahjan: Since my teenage years I have been aware of my "sensitive" nature, as my parents would say, and my melancholic tendency. This song enlivened that old thread which has now transmuted itself more into the understanding of empathy. Once lonely, I now look on my own lonesome road for solace.
